Who is a Patient Champion?
We recognize every UPMC Children's patient — regardless of your age. Whether your journey with UPMC Children’s lasted hours, months, years, or is ongoing, you are a champion. You are why we walk.
How do I Register as a Patient Champion?
During registration, select “Patient Champion” when prompted. You will automatically be included as a patient champion and will receive your shirt and champion medal in the mail, and your patient champion badge on your fundraising page.
How are Patient Champions Recognized?
Every patient champion will receive:
- a purple shirt
- a patient champion medal
- a patient champion badge on their fundraising page
Patient champions are also invited to help kick off Walk for Children’s in the patient champion parade.
