Children’s isn’t just a hospital to me it’s where my story began.

As a child, I went through 10 surgeries there. I remember the fear, the long days, and the uncertainty my family and I faced. But I also remember the kindness the nurses who comforted me, the doctors who never gave up on me, and the people who gave my family hope when we needed it most. They didn’t just care for me physically, they carried us through some of the hardest moments of our lives.

Years later, I had the privilege of working there for several years. Being part of that environment showed me just how much heart goes into every single child’s care. It made me even more grateful for everything Children’s gave me.

Now, my connection has come full circle. My own child receives care at Children’s. As a mother, I now sit in those same waiting rooms, feeling that same fear but also that same deep trust and gratitude. I know firsthand how much this place means to families like mine.

That’s why I’m participating in this walk.

I’m walking for the little girl I once was.
I’m walking for my child.
And I’m walking for every family who is still in the middle of their fight.
