Welcome to My Personal Page
Children's has held a special place in my heart for a long time. My younger sister is a cancer survivor. She was diagnosed at 13 years old with Synovial Cell Sarcoma. Our family spent a lot of time in Children's supporting her on that journey. But she's tough and she beat it! And then it came back...with a 95% fatality rate. It was another long year on and off at Children's, including 31 straight days at one point, but she never gave up and neither did the team caring for her. Thanks to the care she received (and what I believe is some divine intervention!), I am happy to say she continues to celebrate being in remission!
Beyond that experience, all three of kids have had care from the Children's team at some point in their life, including a pretty scary round last year with my youngest.
