I am participating in Walk for Children’s presented by UPMC and UPMC Health Plan because I want to give back to the hospital that offered me life-changing treatment.
I started this team as a way to bring awareness to hip dysplasia and to network with patients who have had similar experiences. I underwent my first PAO surgery in November of 2021, and my second PAO was in June of 2024. Through the challenging and unfamiliar experiences that I went through with these surgeries, I have had the opportunity to meet fellow PAO patients. My goal is to create a community in which no one has to go through this process alone.
