The Walk for Children’s means a lot to me personally. Over the years, countless friends and family members have received exceptional care at UPMC Children’s Hospital, and I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact it makes. It’s also close to my heart because my dad has been a doctor there for over 40 years — so this place has always been part of my life.

Children’s is truly a world-class hospital, and we’re incredibly lucky to have it right here in our backyard. Since it began in 2016, Walk for Children’s has raised over $7.5 million to support the hospital’s most urgent needs.

Many of the programs that make UPMC Children’s so special — like Child Life services, distraction therapy room wrappings, and family support resources — aren’t covered by insurance. Yet they are absolutely essential to helping families navigate some of the toughest moments of their lives.
