Go Westy Go!
1 year anniversary of being home from the hospital
Our son Weston was in the PICU at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for 4 long months. He had an airway the size of a coffee stir and was struggling to breathe. The doctors and surgeons saved his life.
In May of 2024 it was discovered that Weston has a genetic condition called NF1. Tumors from this condition made this life threatening for Westy. There was no FDA medication for his age that would work for him. Children’s was able to approve him to be in a clinical trial medicine that started in November right after he turned 2. Since then his quality of life has gotten so much better!
Our family experienced the miracles that Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh can make happen first hand. We support Children’s Hospital, so they can continue to make miracles happen.
Our team is participating in Walk for Children’s presented by UPMC and UPMC Health Plan. Please join us and thousands of patients, families, and supporters from all over the world help make a difference in the lives of the kids in our community and beyond.
Support our efforts by joining our team or donating to one of our team members.
Together, we can achieve the healthy future that every child deserves.
Thank you for your support as we Walk for Children’s!
