Welcome to My Personal Page
My brother John had his first migraine headache when he was still in elementary school. The first wave of migraines was so bad that he screamed over and over again that his head was exploding. He didn't know what was happening, and he didn't know how else to describe the pain. We missed a trip to Disney World because of these severe migraine headaches and he wound up in Children's Hospital - the best place he could be at the time. The doctors and nurses were incredible at attending to his needs and explaining the treatment provided to my parents. No one in my family is in the medical profession, so we turned to the Children's staff for guidance, care, and reassurance during this incredibly tough time. John was in Children's for a month before being discharged. After which, he was better equipped to handle his migraines and the pain that would no doubt onset again in due time.
This is why I am participating in Walk for Children’s presented by UPMC and UPMC Health Plan because I want to make a difference for sick kids and their families who turn to Children's Hospital to help them through the most difficult times of their lives.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my page. You, too, can help provide hope, healing, and healthier futures for the brave kids at UPMC Children’s Hospital.
Thank you for your support as I Walk for Children’s!
Every Step Counts.
