Why I walk . . . .
I walk for my students. Everyday I see my Deaf and Hard of Hearing students successfully navigating the mainstream classroom. The Friends of the Hearing Center supports Teachers of the Deaf, like me, by providing initiatives and programs to develop language, literacy skills, and friendships.
I am participating in Walk for Children’s presented by UPMC and UPMC Health Plan because I want to make a difference for D/HH students and their families.
