Welcome to My Personal Page
On January 9, 2022 we entered Children’s Hospital ER not knowing what was about lie ahead for us. Brielle was just two weeks old at this time. We got there and I explained something was off with her elbow, I thought it was because she rolled over the day before so she probably broke something. Test after test was run that night and one specialist after another came down to look at her and I just couldn’t understand what was going on and why this was happening to my two week old. I held her in my arms in a stretcher as Doug stood beside us as we went up for her to get an MRI. This would be her third one since she was born! She wouldn’t cooperate so the doctors said that she had to be admitted and no food until she got her MRI the next day. The next day we saw more and more doctors and finally the time came for her to be put under anesthesia for her MRI. Doug and I were a wreck. It was the longest two hours. I just couldn’t wait to have her back in my arms. The following days we waited for results we waited for results which showed infection. We were told over and over again that we saved Brielle’s life by bringing her when we did. They are words that will haunt me, but now we walk to celebrate her and to continue to raise money for the place that helped her so much!
