Rowan was diagnosed as failure to thrive and just this past December, three days before Christmas, had a G-tube placed and laryngeal cleft procedure done to help fix his dysphagia diagnosis as well. Over the last 3 years, he has been such a trooper with all the trips back and forth to Pittsburgh, Sewickley, and Monroeville for appointments, surgeries, procedures and even hospital stays. I think I speak for every parent out there who has been in our situation or ever worse situations, that the days are long and the nights can be even longer, but Children’s Hospital has been amazing to us, as well as all the Doctors, nurses, and staff!
