Every child deserves the chance to just be a kid. But for kids who are sick or injured, hospital visits and treatments can take time away from the activities that make being a kid so special. That’s why I’m fundraising for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation – so that I can Give Kids A Chance To Be Kids!

Community fundraising helps Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC provide hope and healing to sick kids and families. Your support can help Children’s Hospital continue to be a leader in pediatric health care – advancing research of childhood conditions and diseases, and developing new and improved therapies.

On a more personal note I am walking for the granddaughter of my dear friend.  I am a member of her team - Team Alligator.   She is a darling almost 3 year old who has Turner's Syndrome.  Thankfully she is growing and developing very well.  In fact she is a delight to all who know her and have watched her progress from infancy to toddlerhood.

Children's Hospital has been an important part of her life since her birth in July, 2014.  It is because of the support she and her family have received from Children's Hospital that I am participating in the Walk for Children on June 3.

I hope I can count on you to support me and the Foundation in our efforts to help all children who need or may need the help of Children's Hospital today or in the future.  I thank you in advance for your donation that will help me meet my personal goal to raise $ 250.00 for Team Alligator.
