Welcome to Myla's Page
Hello There! My name is Sara and I am Myla's Mom.
Myla is a little over 2 years old, she has multiple diagnoses but the main life altering ones at this point in her life are Congenital Heart Defect of Tetraology of Fallot, Epilepsy, and DiGeorge Syndrome (22q Deletion Syndrome).
As of January 2021, Myla has in total, spent over 14 nights and 16 days in Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh for inpatient care, and over 85 days dedicated to all of Myla's outpatient care not including countless other PCP appointments. So, this means Myla has spent 15% of her life dedicated to her diagnoses so far.
Please think about Myla and the many other children that need the care they recieve so badly and spend more than 15% of their life in the care of CHP. Every child deserves the chance to just be a kid. But for kids who are sick or injured, hospital visits and treatments can take time away from the activities that make being a kid so special.
So, I’m asking you as a mother, sister, cousin, or friend to please help me support Myla and all the other children in this year’s Walk for Children’s. Your support of UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh makes an impact on every patient and family that walks through our doors.
