Welcome to TEAM COLE!!!
Our miracle Cole was born two months early due to me having HELLP syndrome. If you don't know what HELLP syndrome is, I encourage you to Google it to see how life threatening it can be for both mother and child. His life started in the NICU and unfortunately for the first year and a half of his life, he has been in and out of Children's for numerous things. He has dysphagia which is a swallowing abnormality that makes him choke on any thin liquid. He's been through numerous swallow studies, therapies, doctors, and radiation. On top of that he has torticolis, a leg length discrepancy, a heart murmur, and a submucous cleft palate. He's been through two surgeries and possibly more in the future. For him, a simple cold turns into a two month long battle with pneumonia. There's no words that can describe what it feels like to see your child sick or in pain, or have a condition that has no end in sight. Although our world has been turned upseide down, we are so thankful for Cole. He brings joy to anyone that Is around him. He is resilient, strong, fearless, and my hero. We walk for him and every other child out there who is someone's hero.
Every child deserves the chance to just be a kid. But for kids who are sick or injured, hospital visits and treatments can take time away from the activities that make being a kid so special. That’s why I’m fundraising for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC – so that I can Give Kids A Chance To Be Kids!
Your support can help Children’s Hospital continue to give kids the chance they deserve, regardless of their ability to pay.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a donation to my page.
Thank you for your support as I walk for Cole and Children’s!
