The following rules apply to all Walk for Children’s sweepstakes.

ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older. Employees of UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation and members of their immediate family are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
HOW TO ENTER: Specific sweepstakes rules, including how and when to enter a sweepstakes, are posted on social media or sent via email for all social media and email contests. You must have a public profile or active email address in order to enter and be eligible. If you do not use social media or do not wish to enter the sweepstakes by fundraising for Walk for Children's, you may email your first and last name and phone number to walkforchildrens@chp.edu with subject line: "Sweepstakes Entry" before the deadline of 11:59 p.m. EST on May 2, 2024.
RANDOM DRAWING: The winner(s) will be selected through a random drawing from all eligible entries. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.

Note: This prize is taxable. The winner will receive a 1099 for the value of the prize on or before January 31, 2025.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation will contact the prize winner via email. Failure to respond within five (5) business days means that the winner forfeits the prize. In that event, UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation will randomly select another winner from all remaining eligible entries.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating, each entrant agrees: a) to abide by these official rules and decisions of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, which shall be final in all aspects relating to this sweepstakes; b) to release, discharge and hold harmless Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant’s participation in the sweepstakes or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded prize (or portion thereof), including any/all travel/activity related thereto; and c) to the use of his/her/their name, address (city and state), voice, performance, photograph, image and/or other likeness for programming, advertising, publicity, trade and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide and on the Internet, and in perpetuity by Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation and its designees, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from entrant or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION: Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this sweepstakes, entrant agrees that 1) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this sweepstakes or prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association and held at the AAA regional office nearest the entrant; 2) the Federal Arbitration Act shall govern the interpretation, enforcement and all proceedings at such arbitration; and 3) judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, whether foreseeable or not and whether based on negligence or otherwise, including attorneys’ fees, other than entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with participating in this sweepstakes), and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
